is now

Marijuana For Trauma was founded in 2013 by two Canadian Forces veterans in the small town of Oromocto, New Brunswick. Its purpose was to be a support group for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

MFT has changed significantly over the last five years. We have expanded from one small clinic staffed by veterans to ten clinics in six provinces across Canada with over 50 employees. We started with only treating PTSD and now we are treating a wide range of common to complex medical conditions.

The medical cannabis industry has also changed considerably since we started our journey. Marijuana For Trauma was one of the first medical cannabis clinics in Canada. Today, we operate in a far more competitive environment.

Now more than ever, it is extremely important to be clear about who we are, what we offer, and our priorities.

So let’s be clear: our priority is you. We are here to help you on your journey to a renewed life. Medical cannabis just happens to be the medicine we use.

What we offer is something no one else can: the ability to use historical data, analytics, and science to create personalized cannabis treatment plans.

We are Canada House.

This name honours our tradition with veterans, which will always be part of the fabric and identity of Canada House and our founders, Mike and Fabian, and appeals to all Canadians with the potential to benefit from our cannabinoid therapy services. The shape of the Canada House logo symbolizes the important structure used by Canadians serving in Afghanistan.

While our name has changed, our mission has not. We are and always will be committed to improving the health of all Canadians through cannabinoid therapy.

Why did we change our name?

The Marijuana For Trauma brand did not reflect the entirety of what we offer. Our clinics treat a wider range of conditions with cannabis therapy than PTSD. Canada House is still firmly committed to helping our clients treat their PTSD symptoms.

We’re passionate about the medical use of cannabis and recognize that the word “marijuana” has mixed meanings for some people.

I liked the old branding.

We know some will be disappointed that we are changing our name. Change is not easy, but it was necessary for our clinics to continue to flourish in a rapidly changing industry. Keep in mind that, although our name has changed, the caring staff you have come to know and trust have not. We are still 100% committed to helping you on your journey to better health.

What is the meaning behind “Canada House”?

We wanted to honour our veterans and Canada House was a building on the military base in Kandahar, Afghanistan and served as a recreational centre for Canada’s serving military personnel.

For all Canadians, Canada House is also an important meeting point at international events.
