Bubble Hash is a traditional, pure and solventless concentrate meaning there are no chemicals utilized. It consists of separating the trichomes from the cannabis plant. Trichomes contain high levels of terpenes, flavonoids, and Phyto- cannabinoids. Bubble hash is extracted by utilizing ice, agitation, and micron screen bags. Although not one of the strongest concentrates availiable on the medical market (roughly 30%-60%), it still packs a punch due to the strength of terpenes and is a favorite of cannabis connoisseurs. If the quality is good, when heated it forms small bubbles, giving rise to the name of Bubble Hash.
Terpenes: Responsible for the aroma of the cannabis plant. Works synergistically with the cannabinoids to provide therapeutic effects.
Flavonoids: Phyto- nutrient that is also found in fruits and vegetables, contributes to the healing profile in the cannabis plant.
Phyto- cannabinoids: Cannabinoids that occur naturally in the cannabis plant. This includes THC and CBD.
How Bubble Hash is Made
Bubble hash is one of the safest concentrates you can make. There are two different cannabis flower materials Licensed Producers can select to make Bubble Hash. Dried flower, which has had the ability to dry before use or fresh flower which is utilized immediately after harvest or has been frozen immediately after harvest. All materials are used (trim, bud, leaves, shake, etc). It is believed by some consumers, freezing cannabis before processing leads to increased flavors and potencies, there is no research to support this theory.
The flower is placed into cylindrical buckets with multiple micron filter bags of different mesh sizes and ice. The cannabis is then agitated by machine or by hand with a paddle. The trichomes freeze and fall off the plant material and make their way through the micron filter bags to the bottom of the buckets. When all the ice has been melted, the buckets are then drained free from water. The trichomes are then collected, dried by air or by freezer until ready for use. Once hard it is ready for use.
How to Use Bubble Hash
Bubble hash can be smoked in joints, bowls, bongs, and pipes. It can be mixed with dried flower or inhaled on its own. Its effects are the same as cannabis but provide a little more strength than the flower alone. Temperature matters keep in mind Bubble Hash is high potency of terpene content, most terpenes are lost at temperatures of 400℉ or higher. Most flames run at temperatures above 400℉, therefore vaporizing Bubble hash, where temperature can be controlled is recommended. Many tabletops and/or portable vaporizers have the option to use a concentrate. Talk with your educator about a vaporizer best suited for use.
Consumer Review
Kerri Charters: I personally use Bubble Hash, I feel more of a body high with it than smoking/vaping dried flower. I do not get as much of a head high, which allows me to function better while receiving therapeutic results.
